The Lamp in the Dark and the Water Tree
“An eerie thing, a willow tree. Forlorn and graceful. Limp. An arm hanging off the bed. The bark is soft, the branches more like hair, fallen loose, hiding a face. Yet for all the lithe swaying, the roots are large and climb down deeply. A fairy tree. A tree of Luna to me but others have said Saturn, Juno, or Demeter, and I would not uninvite them.”
Jupiter and Too Much
“Jupiter demands we include our dreams even if we can’t bear to look at them. Jupiter demands we find the right proportion for us. That’s the “temperance” of Jupiter. It’s not moderation. It’s right-sizing for joy, for stability, for growth, for inclusion, and then doing it again. Continuously including all of you. Including your most exuberant self. Including many others too. A festival of many and much.”

Sipping fennel, I wonder how I can be a lake-gate, a reflection and door for more translations to slip through. How is my very breath a translation, every inhale listening to the stories of the flora who exhaled, every exhale another story I am telling them?”
